Origin – The Story
Dan Brown the author of one of the most popular novels The Da Vinci Code came up with his new novel on October 3, 2017. The novel dubbed Origin is a sci-fi mystery thriller and fifth installation in Dan’s Robert Langdon series. As the novel opens up, the readers are introduced with Robert Langdon, a professor of symbology and religious iconology at Harvard, who has arrived Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao to attend an event hosted by one of his students Edmond Kirsch. Kirsch is a forty-year-old billionaire and futurist who have made a name around the globe for his high-tech inventions and audacious predictions. In the evening, Kirsch is about to reveal a discovery that is said to have the potential to change the face of science forever. The discovery is believed to answer the two of the fundamental questions of human existence.
As the evening unfolds in Bilbao Langdon and hundreds of visitors find themselves captivated by a presentation that appeals quite original. The entire event and excitement of the visitors turn into a chaos when Kirsch’s most awaited discovery disappears or is lost. The mystery of the discovery captivates the mind of readers as they turn pages of the book on the look for the answer as what the discovery was about and who steals it.
Amid all the hunting and finding Langdon struggles to escape Bilbao with Ambra Vidal, director of the museum who worked closely with Kirsch for the event. As the two elopes and evades running from an enemy of Kirsch. The novel moves back and forth from Kirsch to Langdon in the search of the discovery.
